Perkins Raises $1.33 Million Faster Than Any First-Time Democratic Senate Candidate in Louisiana History
Today, Perkins for Louisiana announced its fundraising numbers for Quarter 3. From Perkins’ entry into the race on July 22nd through September 30, the campaign had raised $1.33 million dollars in only 70 days. Fifteen days later, that number has grown to over $1.8 million dollars.
“Our campaign has generated a great deal of excitement and enthusiasm from Louisianans since day one,” said Perkins for Louisiana Campaign Manager Hilary Barrett. “Without one red cent of corporate pac money, our campaign is proud to have raised over $1.8 million to date, which is faster than any first time Louisiana senate democratic candidate in history. Our average contribution is $43 and we have collected nearly 50,000 individual donations, which is more donations than Senator Cassidy has collected since 2015. This campaign is focused on fighting for Louisiana, powered by people from all walks of life and has momentum on our side as we head into November.”
