Despite Numerous Invitations, Sen. Cassidy Continues To Dodge The Peoples’ Questions
Shreveport, L.A. – Army Veteran and Shreveport Mayor Adrian Perkins took to the airwaves to call out Senator Bill Cassidy for dodging debate invitations from several outlets and organizations. Perkins appeared on WRKF and WWNO this afternoon and challenged Cassidy to a debate to be aired statewide.
“I believe Senator Cassidy is embarrassed about his record,” said Mayor Adrian Perkins “Just a week ago, I attended the Baton Rouge Press Club candidate debate where Senator Cassidy lived 5 miles away and he was as a no-show. Several outlets have reached out to our campaign about debating Senator Cassidy and we have agreed to each and every one of them but he refused. He is either afraid to defend his record or too busy playing politics in DC with people’s livelihoods here. I believe he owes the citizens of Louisiana more transparency and accountability right now. I challenge Senator Cassidy to debate today about the issues that Louisianans care about.”
